A Building

Wooden door, glass window, and brick walls.

Door on the ceiling, could be a light

But a door’s a door, although banal

Where it should go? Well, that’s my mind’s blight

Too cluttered would be more than three

Maybe it’s built better with extra

But shouldn’t add, unnecessary

Window of bars? No, could affect a

Wall or door or floor or roof, risky

Why bars? A window is glass, safer

Buildings need safety, risk is tricky

But my building must have class luster

No, wooden door, glass window, brick walls

Follow blueprint, proven effective

Take that building’s door and that one’s halls

Stitch it all together, perfection!
